This beginner surf course is aimed at people who:
- Have never surfed: It's perfect for those starting from scratch in this sport.
- Have very little experience in the water: If you've tried surfing before but have little experience or feel unsure, this level will help you build a solid foundation.
- Are looking for a safe and controlled environment: Classes are taught in conditions suitable for beginners, prioritizing safety and progressive learning.
In short, this course is ideal for anyone with no prior experience or very little who wants to learn to surf safely and effectively.
Here I detail what you will learn and the objectives to be achieved:
What will you learn at this level?
The course focuses on the following aspects:
- Environmental awareness and safety: You will learn to identify currents, tides and safe areas for surfing.
- You will also be taught how to safely get off the board and how to prevent possible accidents.
- Basic preparation and technique: You will learn to use the surf equipment correctly and adopt the proper position on the board. You will be taught efficient paddling techniques to move in the water.
- Standing up and balance: You will practice the step-by-step stand-up technique, from the lying position on the board to the standing position. You will be taught the proper base stance (knees bent, looking forward, weight distributed) and how to maintain balance on the board in small waves.
