Wax Tutorial

Are you going to sell a surfboard or just want to change wax? We explain in 3 easy steps how to remove wax from your surfboard and in just 5 minutes you will have your board as clean as the first day.

To get started you need: a wax comb, sun and dry sand.

1. Leave the board in the sun for a few seconds to melt the wax. Once it softens, use the sharp parts of the comb to remove it.
2. Sprinkle hot, dry sand over the entire board. Let the sand and the sun heat the wax for a few seconds.
3. Gently press your fingers into the sand and wax mixture and see how easy it comes off!

Now you only have to repeat the process on the edges and on the bottom to have your board completely free of wax.

NOTE: If the day is not sunny and/or you don't have sand nearby you can also use special solvents to remove the wax. You can find them in our surf school.
